U.S. kitchen cabinet sales down 9.7% in March – Lesprom Network

Cabinet manufacturers reported overall cabinet sales of were down 9.7% for March 2024 compared to the same month in 2023, according to the Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturers Association (KCMA).

The total sales reported by respondents for March amounted to $247.9 thousand. Breaking down this figure, custom sales accounted for $62.7 thousand, reflecting 21.5% year-on-year decrease. 

Semi-custom sales also saw a decline of 5.3%, amounting to $140.9 thousand, and stock sales also decreased by 3.1%, reaching $44.3 thousand.

The year-to-date sales for survey participants decreased by 7.3% to $684.9 thousand in March 2024. Custom sales contributed $173.3 thousand, or 19.2% decline, semi-custom sales reached $383.4 thousand, down 3.7%, and stock sales amounted to $128.2 thousand, or 1.6% increase.

The estimated sales for the overall market in March were reported at $1.4 million. For the year-to-date period, the overall market estimated sales were $3.9 million.
