Honor had a pleasant surprise in store for its Indian users earlier this week. Through a teaser, the brand announced that the Honor 200 series will be making their debut in India. The Honor 200, consisting of the vanilla Honor 200 and the Honor 200 Pro, made their debut in China earlier this month. Shortly after that, Honor sparked excitement with a teaser indicating that the Honor 200 series will soon be launched in India.

A dedicated landing page for the series is also live on Amazon India, signalling an imminent release. While Honor has not disclosed the exact release date in India, they have scheduled a global launch event on June 12th in Paris. It’s widely anticipated that the Honor 200 and Honor 200 Pro models will be officially introduced to the world at this event, and they might enter the Indian market as well.

The Honor 200 series, already unveiled in China, comes with known specifications and design. The Indian market is eager to see what these new devices will offer, as Honor has consistently delivered technology that caters to both budget-conscious and tech-savvy buyers. While the India launch for the Honor 200 series is yet to happen, we can get an idea of the phone’s specifications and features based on the variant launched in China.

As per the Chinese launch, the vanilla Honor 200 features a 6.7-inch Full HD+ curved OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a resolution of 2664 x 1200 pixels, and up to 4,000 nits peak brightness. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset, paired with up to 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage. The camera setup includes a 50-megapixel primary sensor, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 50-megapixel telephoto lens. In the front, there is a 50-megapixel sensor for selfies and video calls.

The device is fuelled by a 5,200mAh battery supporting 100W fast charging and runs on MagicOS 8.0 based on Android 14. Additional features include an in-display fingerprint sensor, dual SIM support, 5G connectivity, and various eye protection certifications.

The Honor 200 Pro, on the other hand, comes with a slightly larger 6.78-inch Full HD+ OLED display, offering a resolution of 2700 x 1224 pixels and similar peak brightness and dimming features. It is powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset with Adreno 735 GPU, promising enhanced performance for demanding applications.

The device supports up to 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage. The camera setup is similar to the vanilla variant, with the addition of a 3D depth camera.

The front camera also includes a 50-megapixel sensor with 3D depth capabilities. The Honor 200 Pro is equipped with a 5,200mAh battery that supports both 100W fast charging and 66W wireless charging. It runs on MagicOS 8.0 based on Android 14 and features an enhanced heat dissipation system, along with similar connectivity and certification features as the standard model.
