Circle to Search is one of the most talked about AI features of the Galaxy S24. It was developed by Google and was exclusive to the Galaxy S24 series for a month or so. Then, it was expanded to Pixel smartphones running Android 14. And now, Google has announced that it will expand the feature to other phones soon.

Circle to Search feature coming to phones from other brands

At the Google I/O 2024 event yesterday, Google announced that the Circle to Search feature is already available on 100 million devices and will expand to an additional 100 million devices by the end of this year. So, by the end of 2024, the Circle to Search feature will be available on over 200 million Android smartphones and tablets.

The Circle to Search feature has gained a lot of traction due to its accuracy, speed, and smoothness. You can just press and hold the navigation gesture bar at the bottom of the device screen to search for anything visible on the display, be it an image, text, or video. It will fetch matching search results from Google. It can also be used to select text on the screen, which can then be copied or translated into a different language.

Google also plans to bring Circle to Search to classrooms and the Google Chrome web browsers. Students can use it to get help in solving complex math and physics problems or to get information about pictures and diagrams. In Google Chrome, the company is searching a similar functionality to let users get information about anything they see on the screen.
